Greetings Parents and Students,
My Name is Mrs. Bridges; I am your 8th Grade History teacher for the 2011-2012 school year. For the 1st half of the year we will be exploring several areas pertaining to Arkansas History. We will learn about the Native American tribes that are indigenous to our area, local heros and inventors. We will also take an extensive look into the role that Arkansas played during the American Civil War. The 2nd half of the school year (starting after Winter Break)is World History. We will be learning about the varied nations of the world, different cultures, the political structure of different nations, and so much more! During the 2nd half we will also be taking a look at the overall Geography of the world and studying Civics (the structure and function of our government).
